HHC Products

For as long as we’ve known about cannabis, we’ve spent much of it with a focus on; there was only one kind of cannabis product that could get users high: you might know it as the main compound in cannabis, delta-9 THC. In 2018, CBD products took the market by storm with the signing of the Farm Bill, which cemented hemp and its derivatives as a federally legal substance.
For a time, the market consisted of marijuana and its non-intoxicating, federally legal alternative, CBD–that was it.
And then there was delta-8, and even delta-10. Surely that’s the extent of our options in cannabis, right? How could things possibly innovate more? Then, there was HHC. Here’s what you need to know about this high-inducing, long-lasting, legal compound.

DESCRIPTION

What is HHC?

HHC, short for hexahydrocannabinol, is a compound naturally occurring in various cannabis and hemp plants. However, it’s most often created in a lab through a process known as hydrogenation, as patented by chemist Roger Adams in 1947.
Like THC isomers we’ve already seen, such as delta-8 and delta-10, HHC is not quite as potent as the notorious delta-9 THC.

However, HHC appears to be one of the more potent cannabinoids, roughly estimated to be 70-80% the strength of delta-9

THC. When taken in moderate amounts, HHC can induce a euphoric psychoactive effect similar to THC, although it’s often reported to have more relaxing and soothing qualities than Delta-8.
Despite a relatively identical molecular structure, HHC and THC share one key difference: HHC has some additional hydrogenated carbons, whereas THC is off by an ester atom and a carbon bond.
While these differences might sound inconsequential, HHC’s unique characteristics make it a far more stable compound than THC and even better, with much stronger resistance to heat. On top of that, HHC products have a far longer shelf life than THC and numerous other products.

What’s the Difference Between HHC and THC?

Now, you may be wondering: is HHC the same as THC? They sound the same!
While it’s true that HHC shares some striking similarities to THC, it’s important to note that they share some differences, whether it’s delta-8, delta-9, or delta-10.
As you might have already noticed in the discourse surrounding HHC, this unique cannabinoid resembles delta-8 and delta-9 THC in terms of effects and side effects.

And while they share a similar chemical structure, the experience offered by each cannabinoid is unique. HHC has been growing in popularity, particularly among academics, intellectuals, creatives, and self-starters, while compounds like delta-8 are generally more beloved for relaxing, leisurely activities.
Perhaps the most important distinction between delta-9 THC and derivatives such as HHC lies in the legal status of products.
HHC and delta 8 THC can be legally sold in 38 states, while that’s the case for delta-9 in only 16 states.
For folks who prefer the effects of marijuana but live in a state where it’s prohibited, they may have the option to shop for HHC or delta 8 THC instead. That being said, customers must stay in the know about the legal status of HHC in their state before purchasing HHC gummies or any other kind of cannabinoid product.

What’s the Difference Between HHC and CBD?

HHC and CBD are different from each other in that CBD doesn’t carry the psychoactive effects that HHC does, making it closer in resemblance to THC.
On top of that, more daily users are turning to CBD for numerous health reasons, but it will never give the consumer the intoxicating effects that HHC and THC would provide.

Does HHC Make You High?

As a psychoactive compound, HHC can get users high, similar to THC. But as with THC, the effects of the high will vary, depending on the individual. Depending on the type of product being used, how much is taken, and the consumer’s body chemistry and metabolism, a high from HHC can last up to 2-3 hours.

Is HHC Legal?

As per the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp and its products have effectively been made federally legal—granted that the plant or any of its derivatives contain less than 0.3 percent delta-9 THC.
And while it’s true that HHC is found naturally occurring in the cannabis plant, commercial HHC is made by adding hydrogen atoms to a THC compound. Through this process, known as hydrogenation, hemp-derived cannabinoids are placed under pressure with a catalyst–typically something like palladium.

In May 2022, it was confirmed in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that delta-8 THC was legal within the rulings of the Farm Bill and its definition of hemp.
Following this revelation, it’s also been determined that other compounds and derivatives of hemp are legal as long as they don’t contain more than 0.3 percent delta-9 THC, which is the legal limit. As a result, this ruling makes HHC a legal hemp product, thus ensuring the protection for both producers and vendors of HHC (and delta-8and delta 10 THC, THC-O, and THC-P), although some attorneys note that other federal courts could reach different conclusions.
However, HHC could still be banned by individual states. If HHC becomes popular enough, this is likely to threaten sales in the legal cannabis market, as we’ve seen with delta 8 THC.

How Long Does HHC Take to Kick in?

worth noting that the time it takes for HHC to reach the bloodstream will depend on many different factors, especially regarding the individual, their needs and preferences, body chemistry, metabolism, and the type of HHC product consumed.
As a general rule of thumb, for instance, HHC gummies will take around an hour to kick in.

Customers are strongly advised to proceed with caution when trying any kind of cannabinoid product for the first time, and this includes HHC.

Will HHC Show Up On a Drug Test?

It seems that HHC may not metabolize in the body in a way identical to THC. While delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10 have been shown to metabolize into a compound called 11-hydroxy-THC, this isn't the case for HHC. And this is an issue for drug tests since 11-hydroxy-THC is what most drug panels will test for.

So far, no one knows that HHC won't leave evidence of use in your blood, urine, or hair. But that hasn't been studied and isn't certain. If your employer tests for drug use, we suggest you not risk your job using HHC.

Is HHC Safe?

Similar to cannabinoids before HHC that have made their way to vendors' shelves, the evidence is limited, including when it comes to the safety and side effects of HHC. As a result, much of the safety information is based on anecdotal evidence.

As of 2022, preliminary trials have shown HHC to possess a profile similar to THC's risk and safety, with comparable side effects reported from users who took high doses of THC.
Taking too much HHC may result in adverse reactions.

What to Look for in HHC Products

If shopping for HHC is a completely new experience for you, there can be a lot of uncertainty–especially when it comes to looking for a quality product.;
Whether you’re shopping online or in person, you must first check the company reputation in the market. Customers can gauge a company's reputation through forums and outside reviews, which you can pull up with a simple search online.

also worth checking the ingredients in an HHC product–of course, you'll need to do this if you have any kind of dietary restrictions or allergies, but it's also worth checking to check for plant-derived terpenes, as well.
Finally, consider the THC content in the edibles, especially when you're purchasing gummies, which should have a consistently measured dosage. The average THC content per gummy is between 20-25mg each.

Know Yourself & Your Needs

No matter what hemp product it is, the golden rule is always the same: you can always take more, but you can't take less.
In other words, it's generally encouraged to start with the recommended dosage on the label and make sure to give the product plenty of time to kick in.
When your body hits that "sweet spot" of dosage, you can expect to feel a sense of mild intoxication, coupled with feelings of relaxation and well-being. With HHC products, most customers start at around 10mg, depending on the product. However, you may find that a smaller or larger dose works better for you and your needs.
If you have experience with delta-9 THC, it's worth repeating that HHC is about half as potent, so your usual amount of delta-9 doubled may be an ideal starting point. Meanwhile, delta-8 is about the same potency.

Avoid Driving When Consuming THC

Keep in mind that while uplifting, HHC is a mind-altering substance, and as such, users are urged to avoid operating heavy machinery or doing anything that might put them in harm's way.
This means that users should generally avoid taking HHC on days when they need to commute or drive.

Shop From Reputable Sellers

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, HHC can be lawfully shipped by mail. As a result, customers can find HHC products in several different retailers, whether they're gummies, disposables, or cartridges. This heavily differs from marijuana, which individuals must buy from dispensaries in legal states. With new cannabinoids like delta-8 and delta-10, however, such restrictions aren't made.
Consequently, HHC can be found in head shops, convenience stores, gas stations, bodegas, and other retail outlets.
This poses a double-edged sword–while customers may have an easier time finding delta-8 shots in their local area, these sources might not always be trustworthy. On top of that, employees at such establishments might not specialize in cannabis or HHC, so their knowledge of products will be minimal.
Make sure to only purchase from reputable HHC sellers, and try sticking with manufacturers who've been in the cannabis game for years, even if it's for related products like CBD or delta-8.

HHC Products for Sale

HHC gummies are the next hottest thing in hemp–this is pretty clear.
What's not so clear, however, is where you can find HHC products for sale.
Due to their relative newness on the market, HHC is more novel than delta-8 or even delta-10 and hence harder to find.
Moreover, HHC products are heavily unregulated, so it's crucial that users shop directly from the source whenever possible and to shop from sellers that practice third-party lab testing and make the lab reports easily accessible.
At JustDelta, we know what it takes to deliver on our customers' needs: good HHC from a reliable seller.

As we expand our supply, here's what we already have to offer in HHC:

HHC Gummies

If you're looking for a high that's mellow on the mind but with an uplifting & energizing twist,HHC gummies deliver it perfectly, wrapped up in a tasty treat.
When it comes to cannabis products, gummies are nothing new. But they're a crowd favorite for a reason! Fruity, chewy, and tasty, HHC gummies don't just make your HHC dosage easier; they make it a treat all its own.
HHC gummies are growing in popularity for all kinds of reasons, one being that they tend to stay in the body longer than other products. Another reason is the discretion they allow since they can be enjoyed just about anywhere.
For many people, cannabis is becoming a staple in their self-care routine, and many more are considering making the addition, whether it's for sleep or simply unwinding at the end of the day.
Because of the influence, it appears to have on CB1 receptors in the body, HHC has been defined as a psychoactive substance, meaning it can trigger a rush of euphoria, known as a "high.
And unlike delta-9 THC, HHC has gained a strong reputation for facilitating a sense of relaxation and calm rather than a stimulating experience. With a more tranquil, clear-headed quality compared to delta-9, HHC is quickly becoming a favorite for relaxation without passing out on the couch.
Then, there's the fact that they come in pre-dosed servings.
There's a wide variety of different HHC products available, and each one of them needs to be dosed in a different way. But with HHC gummies, everything is already pre-dosed. On top of that, you'll find that HHC gummies come in consistent shapes and sizes so that you can explore
And it may go without saying, but HHC gummies are exceptionally easy to use. Similar to how all HHC products must be dosed differently, it can often feel like each and every product requires an additional item, whether it's a dropper for oils, a rig for dabbing, carts for vapes, or even HHC capsules need a glass of water.
But HHC gummies, the gummies themselves, are all you need–the only work needed is to enjoy them!
There's no need for prep or guesswork, and measuring is as simple as counting out 1-2 gummies.
Plus, HHC gummies taste great.
Hemp has a fairly unique flavor, and aroma–nutty and a bit earthy, and some might even describe it as bitter. While some folks quite enjoy the taste, it isn't for everyone.
With their candy-like flavor and bouncy, chewy texture, HHC gummies taste like a sweet treat, creating the perfect alternative for those who prefer something a bit more to their palate.
Finally, HHC gummies offer a combustion-free high.
Smokable THC products–especially joints and blunts–have garnered a reputation for their highly bioavailable, fast-acting effects. However, smokables hold a number of drawbacks: not only health-wise, but what's more, that burning cannabis actually eliminates much of the cannabinoids before they're even consumed! As a smoke-free way to experience a THC-like high, HHC gummies are especially appealing to those looking to avoid smoke.

HHC Disposables

Speaking of HHC without combustion, HHC disposables are another beloved choice.
Of course, this isn't the first time vapes have become a popular option, whether it's for tobacco users who seek a nicotine-free alternative or whether it's simply an individual who likes the more potent products.
While HHC vapes, in general, offer these benefits, disposables, in particular, offer their own unique appeal.
For starters, HHC disposables provide the same discretion, ease of use, and high bioavailability you know and love from vapes, but with the bonus of extra convenience.
Whenever you buy a delta-8 disposable, it's completely ready for you to enjoy. There's no need for purchasing extra parts, charging, or attaching anything together. And when you're done with your HHC disposable, all that's left to do is throw it away.
If the fast-acting nature of vapes attracts you, but you don't know where to start, HHC disposables are perfect for beginners due to their low-commitment needs, plus the fact that everything is already prepared.
Plus, they make for an easygoing travel buddy: thanks to their compact size and discreet appearance, HHC disposables are easy to stow and transport.
And if you're looking for an HHC product that's effective but doesn't require the commitment of cleaning and modding, HHC disposables make the perfect fit. With HHC disposables, the only cleanup is tossing your finished vape in the trash.
