I’ve spent a few days trying out different tabletop vapes and researching all the benefits and flaws of each so you don’t have to.
Keep reading for my take on the best desktop vapes for sale in 2024.
Best Desktop Vaporizers 2024
1. Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer
- Single degree temp controls
- Great for group sessions
- Excellent flavor
- Starter kit is additional
- Weighty
The Storz Bickel German-made Volcano hybrid vaporizers are the brand’s top desktop dry herb vaporizers, widely known for their precise temperature control for dry herbs.
Inhaling deeply using the balloon or whip attachment, you’ll find you produce huge clouds when exhaling. The whip option swivels 360°, meaning everyone in your toking session can easily access the mouthpiece.
When you shop Volcano, look at their add-ons. I personally don’t think the starter pack should be excluded from the base price, but I’m still a huge fan of all Volcano products.
With an automatic shutoff timer, the vaporizer turns off after 30+ minutes of inactivity. This prevents and protects the healing element while saving energy.
You can also easily control your vaporizing sessions with the brand’s app on Android and iOS.
What I Like
It’s one of the most powerful tabletop vaporizers and has a digital LED screen that displays the temperature settings that range 104°F – 446°F.
I also like that there is a 40-second heat-up time, meaning you’ll be high without having to wait around.
What I Don’t Like
The price is a bit steep. If you’ve got the money and are picky about vapor quality, however, this is your vaporizer.
But if you want to save a buck for basically the same quality, choose the Volcano Classic. It’s been the best desktop vaporizer for quite some time.
2. Volcano Classic Vaporizer
- Efficient & tasty vapor
- Decent temp calibration
- Great for using with friends
- 3 minute heating time
- Analog controls
The Volcano Classic Vaporizer is literally a classic. As one of the most popular vapes you can find, the Volcano Classic has graced many tables around the world.
It uses a convection system and has easy-to-use temperature settings. Once the balloon attachment fills, puff away on the Volcano Classic to your heart’s content.
What I Like
You can easily control how much of a haul you want with the Volcano Classic. The temperature controls are pre-set at 266° – 446° F, and the precise temperature control is wonderful.
I was surprised to see the three color options, which are Onyx, Silver, and White for Peace edition.
What I Don’t Like
I like the bags that come with the Volcano vaporizer for nostalgia, but I prefer desktop vaporizers with whip attachments for inhaling your goodies.
I also don’t like how you don’t know the exact temperature with the Volcano Classic, as there’s just a dial with 1-9 marked on it. Trying to find the perfect setting for your bud or
3. Arizer V Tower
- Excellent value
- Lighter than other options
- Strong vapor production
- Not great for a group sesh
- Needs the right grind to avoid waste
This Canadian-made desktop vaporizer is made for your dry herbs, as well as
There are two numbers on the LCD screen of the Arizer V Tower. The left one is the temperature the unit is at, and the right one is the preset temperatures.
This is one of the best vaporizers for experienced vaping enthusiasts who know how much of a haul they can handle. With every new vaping device, there’s always a learning curve. But you’ll love the vaping experience of this after a little practice.
Made from high-quality materials, this vaporizer is known for being one of the best desktop vaporizers you can find.
What I Like
This desktop vaporizer is a simple but powerful device with precision temperature control, making it great for those who know their ideal temperature for precise vapor quality.
I loved the hands-free whip attachment that swivels 360° for you and your group sessions. The Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer has the same feature, but this desktop vaporizer is half the price and works almost as well as the Volcano Hybrid.
What I Don’t Like
The glass parts, such as the elbow adapter, are easily breakable which can occur cleaning the whip attachment.
If you forget to heat the medical-grade tubing for around five minutes by soaking it in hot water, you will be buying a lot of elbow adapters.
4. Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer
- Great for solo and group use
- Quiet
- Replacement parts easy to find
- Fidgety steel mesh
- No valve on bag
If looks alone made a quality desktop vaporizer, then the Extreme Q would take the cake. With the blue LED base, the Extreme Q looks great in dim lighting.
This multi-purpose vaporizer for dry herbs is the best desktop vaporizer for the price. You can use the Extreme Q with the whip option or with the bag attachment, meaning you can puff at your own pace.
The fan settings on the Extreme Q are also awesome. I recommend using fan setting 1 for the whip attachment and setting 3 for the bag. But definitely play around a bit to see what works for you.
What I Like
The remote control on the Extreme Q allows you to turn the unit on or off, set the temperature, and customize your group sessions.
Add on the LED digital screen and a 360° swivel, you’ve quite the handy vaporizer with great vapor quality at a great price. But remember, you get what you pay for. Don’t expect Volcano Hybrid quality in a desktop vaporizer that sells for less than $200.
What I Don’t Like
The automatic shut-off time can be extended up to 2-4 hours which is ridiculous, in my opinion. Although this might be good for those who get too baked and forget to shut off their device.
The glass or the bowl that sits on the convection heating system with the rubber top gets dangerously hot. Don’t handle it until it has significantly cooled down. I recommend leaving the bowl in for the whole session to prevent burns.
5. Ditanium Vaporizer
- Large vape clouds
- Unique design
- Decent flavor
- No advanced features
- Lacks vape bag
The Ditanium Vaporizer is an affordable option that uses high-quality materials like quartz, titanium and ceramic. If you’re worried about vapor and build quality for a price like this, you won’t be disappointed.
It uses full convection to heat, gets to the desired temperature fast and has a large bowl to hold your dry herb. The taste of the terpenes isn’t burned away and doesn’t leave unpleasant tastes in your mouth like some desktop vaporizers can.
What I Like
If you want to mix your dry herb with cannabis concentrates, this desktop vaporizer makes it a reality. Use the quartz and titanium nail for your concentrates and the glass wand for your dry herb.
The ability to toke concentrates and weed at the same time is quite the rarity in desktop vaporizers, which is an awesome option when it comes to vaporizers.
What I Don’t Like
To get the hot air vapor you want, you have to use a lot of dry herb. Like much more than the other desktop vaporizers on this list.
Though that may be a deal breaker for some when it comes to vaporizers, others don’t mind the added expense because of the massive vapor clouds this device provides.
6. Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer
- Remote controlled
- Excellent temp controls
- Decent for sessions
- 5 Minute heat up time
- Uses fragile glass
For those looking to delve into the world of vaporizing, the Arizer XQ2 dry herb vaporizer is an exceptional vape. Boasting a range of features such as digital temperature control, onboard and remote controls and an impressive light display, this device caters to both balloon and whip enthusiasts.
Just like the Arizer Extreme Q, the Arizer XQ2 is crafted from premium materials and offers a delightful experience
What I Like
You can have pretty much all the features of the Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer for a fraction of the cost.
Not to mention that it has a bunch of unique features like the LED lights that will signal when the unit is heating, when it reaches the desired temp, cooling down, etc.
The Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer also has two different cyclone bowls, one is for microdosing, and the other is for producing massive vapor clouds.
What I Don’t Like
Though it says that it takes only 5 minutes to heat up, it actually requires an additional 3-5 minutes for the desktop vaporizer to vaporize the dry herb.
If you aren’t tech-savvy or jump the gun and start vaping without properly setting it up, you will end up with little vapor and a lot of frustration. There are also a lot of breakable parts.
It’s not as straightforward to use as the Volcano vaporizer. But then again, the Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer is a fraction of the cost.
7. EpicVape NXT E-Nano XL Vaporizer
- 2-minute heating time
- 3-year warranty
- Easy to clean
- Small chamber
- Not good for group sessions
The EpicVape NXT E-Nano XL Vaporizer is good for a microdose and boasts a larger heating system and a bigger glass stem bowl. This desktop vaporizer is made for those who want small power hits for daytime vaporizing, so you don’t get blasted.
It’s made of wood (choose between cherry or walnut) and has an overall minimalist design. It’s also made in the USA and has a stainless steel housing and a ceramic heating element.
What I Like
The flavor of your dry herb is intense and heat retention at all temperatures is impressive. The glass mouthpiece almost seems to make the vapor more delicious.
No whips or bags are needed, and cleaning it is as easy as it gets. All you have to do is brush the ceramic heater and the screen. The mouthpiece can also be soaked in a cleaner for a fresher taste.
What I Don’t Like
You need power lungs of steel to haul on this thing.
Seriously, heavy users should not buy this desktop vape. It’s a desktop device that just doesn’t allow for large draws.
Desktop Vaporizers: Your Buying Guide
Things To Consider
When it comes to desktop vaporizers, there are several things you need to consider to ensure you don’t waste your money on a product that doesn’t do it for you.
Heating Time & Element
When you want to vape, you want to do it now. Not in 20 minutes. So the best desktop vaporizers would have a shorter heating time, preferably with a ceramic heater or convection heat.
Bag Or Pipe
Do you want a pipe or tube with a mouthpiece, or do you like the bags which you can puff on at your leisure? The choice is up to you.
Price
Figure out your budget first, and then buy accordingly. Are you looking for the top model with all the bells and whistles? Or do you want something cheaper that may not perform in all areas but will still get the job done?
Ease Of Use
Personally, I don’t want to operate a device that’s overly complicated. That’s why the Volcano Hybrid and the Volcano Classic are so popular. They’re so easy to use! It’s no wonder Volcano vapes are considered the best desktop vaporizers you can find.
Advanced Features
Do you want LED light shows? Or a screen displaying the exact temperatures? Do you want one of the best desktop vaporizers on the market or a fully functioning one that is cheaper? These are all questions you must ask yourself before buying the best device for your personal desires.
The Final Verdict: Best Tabletop Vaporizer
Hands down, the Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer earns the top spot on our list when it comes to the highest-quality desktop vaporizer you can find.
- Single degree temp controls
- Great for group sessions
- Excellent flavor
- Starter kit is additional
- Weighty
If you’re looking for a desktop vaporizer that outshines the competition, the Volcano Hybrid is your best bet. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any Volcano vaporizer options, whether a portable vaporizer or desktop vaporizer is your jam.
For those interested in other desktop vaporizer options apart from Volcano, any other vaporizing device featured on this list all have a solid build quality that make it fairly easy to produce huge clouds of vapor.
