Pax Era Pro Review

I understand the challenge of selecting the ideal concentrates vape that meets your needs. I worked in a dispensary for five years and have seen my fair share of vapes.

The Pax Era Pro is one option, but does this liquid concentrates vaporizer live up to the legendary status of other Pax products?

That’s precisely what we’ll discover together, in this in-depth Pax Era Pro review, ensuring you choose the best vape for your needs.

Pax vapes consistently stand out in vaporizer tech with their sleek, user-friendly devices, smart temperature settings, and other innovative features.

If you think the Pax Era Pro looks just like a Juul, it’s because Pax developed Juul. That explains the smooth, compact design.

Rating The Pax Era Pro

It’s time to score the Pax Era Pro experience.

The device rating system is structured around four main criteria.

Usability and effects constitute 60% of the overall score. These are things like user-friendliness, battery performance, portability, and how closely the device matches its advertised capabilities.

Customer service accounts for 30% and evaluates factors from product variety to support quality, website experience, and the overall customer value provided.

Ethical and sustainability considerations comprise 5%, exploring the brand’s commitment to the environment and ethical practices.

Lastly, education and awareness also weigh in at 5%, gauging the informational content available for consumers.

To compute the final score, the score from each category is multiplied by its respective weighting. The results are then summed, with 5 being the highest score.

In the end, the Pax Era Pro scored 4.20 (no, that’s not a joke) out of 5.

Nature and Bloom Rating: 4.20/5

Usability & Effects: 4/5

While the Pax Era Pro has incredibly high-tech features and produces smooth vape in large clouds, the pop-and-click technology can be challenging.

Customer Experience: 5/5

The Pax website is easy to navigate and understand. To test their response time to queries, I reached out via a support ticket and it was under 24 hours. Add in the fact the vape arrived within 2 days of ordering it and we’re on to a winner!

Ethical and Sustainability: 2/5

While Pax claims on its site to support ethical and sustainable practices, there is not much information on how they actually do. All you can find is information on their issues with Juul (Pax created and used to own Juul).

Education & Awareness: 4/5

While Pax has some educational content on their site, it is mainly about Pax products. Seeing Pax attempt to educate their customers further would be cool.

What Was Impressive

The Pax Era Pro has a super sleek design that effortlessly complements any style.

It’s not just about aesthetics; the size of this vape pen is equally impressive. It fits so comfortably in the palm of your hand that you might forget you’re even holding it.

This isn’t your regular vape; it’s the epitome of discretion.

A little anecdote to illustrate just how discreet this device is. The other day, I was over at my parents’ house and took a quick hit. They had no clue.

And I wasn’t worried about leaving it around like I typically would with traditional vapes. Why? The Pax Era Pro could easily be mistaken for a flash drive or nicotine vape.

In terms of functionality, its easy operation means you don’t need a manual every time you want to use it. It’s pretty intuitive.

Lastly, let’s talk value. At a price point of $50, you might expect something basic. But nope,  with the Pax Era Pro, you get a tech-savvy device that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Pax Era Gear

What Could Be Improved

While the Pax Era Pro boasts a plethora of likable features, there are a few areas where I feel it could use some improvement.

First and foremost, the cost of the pods. The price varies between $30 – $60.

The Delta-8 pods are on the lower price end, while Pax High Purity THC pods are on the pricier side.

Honestly, all the pods are more expensive than most other options on the market. It’s something to consider if you’re vaping frequently and are on a budget.

Being restricted to using Pax pods only feels limiting, especially when so many other fantastic brands exist. It would have been a game-changer to have the flexibility to mix and match with other brands.

Another slight hiccup in the experience is the app compatibility. I’m an iPhone user, and I genuinely wish you could use the app on the iPhone.

Speaking of tech, the pop-and-click technology for changing temperatures was a bit of a miss. I often fumbled and needed several attempts before successfully adjusting the temperature.

Annoying AF when you’re already lit.

While I could change it on the website, going inside, opening my laptop, and returning to hit the vape was annoying. Simplicity is vital when you’re trying to relax, and this felt like an unnecessary hassle.

Technical Specs

The Pax Era Pro blends tech and convenience in a sleek package.

Its standout feature? Superior app integration. Android users have a dedicated app, while iPhone users must use a web app. This isn’t because Pax doesn’t support Apple. It’s because Apple has a vaping app ban.

This vaporizer also boasts near-perfect dosage control, ensuring consistent and accurate consumption.

A built-in parental lock offers peace of mind. Plus, users get detailed testing information for each pod. This transparency about consumption content sets it apart.

The Era Pro features four LEDs on its side, showcasing the company’s logo. But these LEDs aren’t just for show.

They also aid in temperature control. Insert a pod, and the pen pulls up the strain-specific recommended temperature.

For those wanting to adjust the temperature manually, it’s supposed to be as simple as slightly pulling the cartridge. But again, I struggled here.

The LED lights signal the temperature: one leaf for the coolest, four for the hottest, and a fifth blinking light for the manufacturer’s recommendation.

The real game-changer? The NFC chip in each pod. It’s one of the world’s smallest production NFC chips. Users can view batch-specific test results when paired with an Android device and the PAX app.

Plus, this NFC tech remembers temperature settings. Change the pods, and the PAX adjusts accordingly—a neat feature for varied strain preferences.

Features

The  Pax Era Pro has several features that stood out to me.

All the pods come from top-tier, vetted producers. These unique pods are both the vaporizer and the mouthpiece – no cleaning needed. Once Pax releases these pods, they belong to an official vape oil manufacturer that strictly adheres to state laws.

The Era Pro’s design is innovative. It doesn’t have an on-button. Instead, you just inhale.

Plus, thanks to its dual sensors, there’s no accidental leakage of weed scent.

You can dive deep into your vaping details with the web app, where everything from temperature to strain details is available.

One thing that really stands out is the device’s dosing feature.

It dispenses doses from 1-4, ensuring you never take too big of a hit. A subtle shake indicates you’ve reached your dose. This is especially useful for vaping beginners.

For those around kids, the lock feature is gold. Through the app, you can lock the device. Without your phone, no one can use it. A thoughtful touch for added safety.

Vapor Quality

Drawing from the Era Pro requires a lighter touch, a bit more delicate than other vapes I’ve tried.

While I found it slightly annoying that it wouldn’t hit if I drew too hard, the vapor is velvety smooth, infused with natural terpenes that bring out rich flavors. The device also produces significant clouds.

Best of all? Not once did it induce a coughing fit.

The balance between flavor, cloud size, and smoothness is commendably on point.

Battery Life

The Era Pro keeps things streamlined, with the primary physical interface being the USB-C port at its base.

It powers up the vape at an impressively fast pace. A mere 45 minutes plugged into my wall charger, and it lasted me about halfway through an entire one-gram pod (about 200 puffs).

Elegantly, the battery life display employs a petal system. Each glowing petal stands for a 25% chunk of battery life.

And for those always on the go? A swift shake of the Era Pro instantly reveals its remaining power, lighting up those petals to indicate just how much vaping time you have left.

Is The Pax Pro Better Than the Era?

Having used both, the Pro is certainly better than the Era.

The Pro doesn’t just surpass the Era; it’s essentially a mini-computer in the form of a vape.

The most notable distinction is the lack of an app for the Era, which gives the Pro an immediate edge, especially for the tech aficionados.

Pax Era Pro Next To Era

When we dive into the nitty-gritty of battery life, the Pro unequivocally outshines the Era. The Pro boasts a commendable 250 puffs, roughly translating to 70-80 sessions.

In contrast, the Era lags behind with only 150 puffs, equaling 40-50 sessions. Doing the math, that’s a whopping 65% additional battery life with the Pro.

So, the Pro clearly has the upper hand for those pondering an upgrade or making a first-time choice.

The Pax Era Pro Isn’t For You If….

The Pax Era Pro isn’t for you if compatibility is important. The device is only compatible with Pax’s pods, which limits your options.

Also, don’t go for the Pro if technology isn’t your thing. Not everyone is tech-savvy or wants their vaping experience intertwined with technology.

If you don’t want to sync your vape to your phone, then this might not be the right fit for you. Especially considering that you can’t access Pax Era’s features without it.

Finally, this may not be the best vape for beginners. If you’re just dipping your toes into the world of vaping and are seeking a straightforward, no-frills experience, the original Era or Pax Mini might be more your speed.

Both are tailored more towards entry-level vapers, providing a more straightforward interface without the bells and whistles of the Pro.

The Final Verdict: Pax Era Pro

The Pax Era Pro is undeniably impressive, melding high-tech features with a sleek design.

Its precise dosage control, app integration, and extended battery life set it apart from the original Era.

However, its unique pods and tech reliance might not suit everyone.
